The Small Fakers

The Small Fakers are the world’s only tribute band to one of the most seminal, sensation bands of the swinging 60s – the fabulous SMALL FACES!

Playing all the hits plus classic EP, LP and b-side tracks to boot, The Small Fakers set spans the entire Small Faces’ career, from the blistering R’n’B belters released on Decca, to the trippy, blissed out psychedelia put out on Andrew Loog Oldham’s Immediate label. And they recreate the look and the sound of the original band to such an extent that Stan Lane, brother of original bass player Ronnie Lane, says: ‘For those of you who never got to see The Small Faces, The Small Fakers are the closest you’re gonna get!’

Described by The Small Faces’ drummer Kenney Jones as ‘Really great, absolutely spot on’, since forming nearly three years ago, the Fakers have played to sell-out audiences of Small Faces fans all over the UK and in Italy, Spain and the Irish republic too.

The boys have also played the Isle of Wight Festival for the last three years, sharing the bill with the likes of Amy Winehouse, Muse, Kasabian and Neil Young, as well as The Rolling Stones and The Sex Pistols. In fact, the day after headlining the festival with his fellow Pistols, bass player Glen Matlock joined The Fakers onstage to perform what many people regard at the Small Faces’ ultimate track, their 1966 number one ‘All Or Nothing’.
